The Thirty

1 Chronicles 11:20-47
“Deeds like these made them as famous as the three mightiest warriors…though they were not one of the Three.” [Emphasis added]

The Three were David’s closest and most loyal men. They understood devotion to God, loyalty and trust in the appointed leader, and certainty in the vision. They were put in charge to oversee portions of his kingdom; they led many victories in battle, and would risk their lives for David. They were placed in charge of David’s other mighty warriors, The Thirty. The thirty had many qualities, triumphs, and God moments like the three but there was always a distinction. David saw the importance of using the three to choose others that would be able to be mentored and led according to what David wanted. The foundation of our student leadership team is based on these same characteristics. The three knew they had a large responsibility to train these mighty men in the vision and direction of David. Our leadership team, just like the three, understands the importance of mentoring and passing down wisdom, knowledge, and God’s truths. If we are not building on the next generation then we are fighting a losing battle. As we start to pull in those students committed to the vision, leadership, devotion, and most importantly God; we will begin to see students emerge into unimaginable heights. Becoming a student leader takes a process set in place by the Student Ministries Pastor, a selection from leadership, and a clear stand for truth by the student. We are excited about the students who have joined the thirty and looking forward to the extraordinary possibilities they are stepping towards. When we serve others, we are also serving God, thus honoring Him with our service. The student leadership team has come together to serve each other, the students, and most importantly God. Are you just along for the ride? It takes time, devotion, and sacrifice to be a student leader of quality and integrity. As we unify together, God will be honored. We are devoted to see our students empowered by God as they LIVE OUT LOUD what they believe.
